In Memoriam

Kenny was blessed with a God-given compassion for helping others. He found truth and purpose in sharing whatever he had—whether it was offering words of wisdom, speaking hope into someone's life, or quietly providing financial help. He loved deeply and, in return, was deeply loved and respected by those who knew him.
His nickname was "Heart"—because that is exactly what guided him in life. He poured his heart into his family, his children, and every person he chose to call a friend.
Kenny carried himself with a quiet swagger, and an unshakable confidence that could be felt the moment he entered a room. To draw near to him was to encounter generational wisdom, profound love, and a deep courage rarely found in many men today.
The Kount Cares Foundation carries forward what Kenny lived — the belief that every person, no matter how far the world has pushed them aside, is worthy of love and belonging.
"To draw near to him was to draw near to fierce wisdom and love and a courage that I have not seen in most men."— Kennie Jones (Kount's father)
A Life Well Lived

Our Mission
To walk alongside families impacted by violence and tragedy by providing compassionate support, resources, and hope that foster healing, restoration, and renewed lives through faith, community, and the love of Christ.
We exist for the mother who cannot sleep, the father searching for answers, the siblings carrying grief they do not have words for, and the friends who do not know how to help. We are here for all of them.
What We Do
Our work is rooted in dignity and presence. We offer tangible help alongside emotional care, because families in grief need both.
Professional, compassionate counseling for individuals and families navigating loss. We create a safe space where grief can be spoken, heard, and gently worked through at each person's own pace.
Community-based groups where people who have experienced similar losses can gather, share, and support one another. You do not have to explain your pain here — those around you already understand it.
Educational scholarships for young people whose lives have been shaped by loss. We invest in futures, honoring the potential Kenny believed every young person carries.
Financial assistance to help families cover the costs of laying their loved ones to rest with dignity. No family should face burial logistics alone in the depths of grief.
Intentional rest and renewal for grieving parents. We support caregivers who are holding their families together while also carrying tremendous loss of their own.
